Chaise Longue Re-upholstery
A chaise longue or ‘long chair’ is a specialist type of chair that combines the length of a sofa with the back shape of a chair, usually just at one end. The design is one that has been around for many centuries and these pieces can often be heirloom or antique. This can also mean that you find yourself needing chaise longue re-upholstery to renew and refresh the look of the chair.
Picking the right fabric to reupholster the chair is the first step. We always look for something that is hard wearing and will look right with the design of the chair. We avoid stretching materials as these cause too many problems but instead look for hard wearing specialist furniture fabrics.
Once the selection is made, we can see about removing the old upholstery and adding the new one. We will often use heavy duty staples or other similar methods to attach the new fabric to ensure the chair retains the same look but also that the fabric stays in place for the longest time.
Then the finishing touches can be made to any arms or other parts of the chair to ensure everything matches and looks amazing. Once this is done, the chair is ready to return to your home with its new look!
